The Tampere Theatre Festival has been going on all week, and the performances have been amazing. There are still plenty of dazzling performances to see during the weekend of the festival, as both Finnish and international performances take to the stage.

Tendance Floue

ZIRLIB
La vie secrète des vieux

A group of 76–90-year-olds tell stories of love, lust, and sexuality. The stories vary from teenage romances to today. Author-director Mohamed El Khatib's documentary theatre project gives a voice to those often unheard.

Birdboy

The performance dives inside the inner world of a misfit kid. Dancer-performer Kévin Coquelard shares the stage with an old Volkswagen, a bunch of ghostly balloons, and otherworldly creatures.

DANSEMA DANCE THEATRE
World Without Eyes

An inclusive and sensory-friendly dance piece for children to explore. The performance invites children to experience dance without words. The Saturday show is specifically for 1–6-year-old children with disabilities, and the Sunday show is for babies aged 6–18 months (with or without disabilities).

There is also Finnish theatre performances available, such as Risen from the Dead, a comedy about a dockhand who is mistaken for a successful businessman. A.K.A. (Also Known As) explores themes of racism and systemic discrimination in the context of a teenage love story. Noise is a delicate piece about the mystery of life, reaching out to the invisible.

T Lab Programme's weekend shows

 

The TLab weekend includes the dreamy performance of Eppu Nuotio and Panu Savolainen, cabaret stylings of Reetta Ristimäki and her fellow musicians, Jorma Uotinen's velvety tango performance and the internationally loved Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha, a group that brings the fast Balkan rhytms to the stage.
