Ykspihlajan Kino-orkesteri

Ykspihlajan Kino-orkesteri takes its listeners to the lush atmosphere of film music and Finnish schlagers from the 50s and 60s. The orchestra is especially known for Juho Kuosmanen's acclaimed film The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, for which it also composed the music.

In the ranks of the easygoing, eight-person ensemble sing e.g. award-winning actors Oona and Anna Airola.

The band, which grew out of Ykspihlaja in Kokkola, has played at festivals from Kajaani to Cannes – now they are ready to conquer Tampere.
