Goblinella

Horokölli - Goblinella is a horror-dance performance by two stripper artists about a stripclub patron named Matti (John) and a stripper-goblin Horokölli (Goblinella).
In Finnish mythology, goblins (fin. peikot) are described as lazy, dumb, greedy and malicious beings. Goblins and strippers are thus similarly profiled and violence against them is portrayed as justice. In this performance we take this narrative of strippers as goblin-like monsters to the extreme and ask; who should we really be afraid of?
silky - rough
flawless - clumsy
holding - leaking
plastic - decay
The performance creates a place, where sex workers who have experienced violence can see themselves as something bigger than a victim or an object. Instead they are fantastic, grotesque and multidimensional story tellers.
