Apteekkarin näköinen mies

Teatteri Lysti

Step into a summer day in a fictional Finnish town in the 1950s, where the scent of rhubarb pie fills the air and crimes are solved with sharp thinking!

Apteekkarin näköinen mies (eng. The Man Who Looked Like a Pharmacist) is a warm-hearted and cheerful detective parody that brings post-war Finnish life to the stage, spiced with humor, nostalgia, and a dash of suspense.
The show is like a Finnish answer to Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple – but this time, the crimes are solved by our own spinster, Martta: a clever, sharp-eyed woman with an astonishing understanding of people and nerves of steel.

The village peace is shattered when a headless man is found on the railway tracks. Who was he? Was it an accident – or is there something darker hidden behind it?
The case is taken up by the local police, aided by Miss Martta – and together, they uncover secrets many had hoped were long forgotten.
Helping her is a colorful cast of wise and quirky villagers, each with their own struggles – but also the ability to find light even in the greyest of days.

The script is written by Heikki Sirkkola, directed by Antti Mankonen, and produced by Teatteri Lysti.
