World Without Eyes

Dansema Dance Theatre

Idea and choreography by Birutė Banevičiūtė

An inclusive and sensory-friendly dance piece for children to explore.

Dansema Dance Theatre from Lithuania specializes in dance theatre for children. World Without Eyes is designed to include children who are blind or have low vision or other disabilities. The performance provides a safe space for its young audience to voluntarily join in and experience dance, without words, by feeling and sensing the dancers’ movements and touching the sets and costumes.

The Saturday show is specifically for 1–6-year-old children with disabilities, and the Sunday show is for babies aged 6–18 months (with or without disabilities).

The production is part of the Lithuanian Culture in Tampere 2025 program, which showcases Lithuanian contemporary arts.

Lithuania’s Ministry of Culture nominated World Without Eyes for the 2022 Golden Stage Cross award for a production for children and young audiences.
