My Dinner with Putin

Kate Pendry

Written and performed by Kate Pendry

Directed by Mads Sjøgård Pettersen

Playwright-actress Kate Pendry’s award-winning, one-woman, one-camera piece examines ambition, opportunism, and forgoing your principles.

Based on a true story and performed to sold-out audiences in Norway, the play zooms in on an actor’s breakthrough moment: Kate Pendry is suddenly offered a part in a Robert De Niro film – directed by an associate of Vladimir Putin. Then the pandemic hits. Next, the war in Ukraine.

Oozing with glamour and wit, Pendry delivers a solo act that packs Hollywood drama and dark comedy, revealing the inner circles of power, and the media’s appetite for war.

Kate Pendry is an actress and playwright from London, now living and working in Oslo. Renowned for her political and controversial works, she has written and produced over fifty pieces for the theatre, alongside numerous electronic artworks and radio productions. Pendry's signature use of dark humour and incisive social commentary has earned her a distinct reputation in the arts community.

”Kate Pendry is an amazing storyteller, and this story is well worth telling.”
