With four wordless stories and four performers Cie Still Life stages a visual feast of virtuosic physicality and tragicomic emotions. Flesh represents another curious step into the unknown for the Belgian company for which visionaries Sophie Linsmaux and Aurelio Mergola have created two decades’ worth of instinctive, word-free theatre. This time the findings are both startling and funny, and the tone is simultaneously dark and bright.
