Tampere Theatre Festival Celebrates Its Brand New Repertoire

The Main Programme includes 19 fascinating productions that will once again bring us together to experience art and theatre.
Festival’s Artistic Team, Hilkka-Liisa IIvanainen and Tanjalotta Räikkä, says the festival’s lineup is a celebration of the will to live. This year's theme is family or the lack of such. There’s also a tendency to study the mind.
“Now, more than ever, is the time to ask what humanity, closeness and warmth means to us.”
In August we will see Finnish Theatre from Rovaniemi, Oulu and Kajaani, among others.
The International Programme includes three performances. Spanish theatre La Veronal performs captivating dance performance Pasionaria and Belgian-Dutch All Inclusive treats us a view to artworld with a satirical touch. French director Philippe Quesne visits the Festival for the fourth time: Vivarium Studio’s Farm Fatale represents unemployed scarecrows who keep themselves busy by making an eco-revolution.
