Juha Kansa & Etelän Tahdit + DJs – From the Deep South of Tampere
From the Deep South of Tampere – the Rusty Deltas of Nekala
Emerging from the rusty delta landscapes of Nekala in the deep south of Tampere, Juha Kansa & Etelän Tahdit is a new yet experienced rhythm orchestra with a captivating sound. This 7-piece band delivers carefully selected colorful gems from the 60s and 70s, stylishly reimagined for today.
Juha Kansa’s debut album is a pulse of rhythm and soul. The first single, Häikäisy oot vaan, may ring a bell — originally Gudbye T’Jane by Slade, it was also famously covered in Finnish by Kirka.
The members of the band have long musical histories and have played in projects such as Jing & Jangsters, Funky Kingston, Jazzgangsters, Palava Kaupunki, Kuhnafar-I, and Giant Robot.
