Nocturnal happening at Werstas
Werstas will be packed with activities on the Nocturnal Happening! Visitors can explore the museum print shop and hunt for flea market bargains; there is also an 18+ guided tour designed for adult tastes. The evening concludes with an immersive "Walking Bass" double bass tour in the Steam Engine Museum.

Museum print shop open
Come and discover traditional letterpress printing techniques. Volunteers from the museum print shop will be operating the presses, producing small print items, and sharing insights into old-school printing methods.

Book and bric-à-brac flea market
Come find bargains at low prices at Väinö Linna Square! The flea market stalls will be staffed by volunteers from the museum’s "Museosakki" group.

18+ tour of the *Yhteisvoimin* (Joined Forces) exhibition
Dare to dive into the history of hushed-up topics on this 18+ tour! The tour explores the nation’s taboo subjects—from syphilis checks to Pervitin, and from dance bans to sexual morality. Not for the faint-hearted. Duration: approx. 45 min.

"Walking Bass" tour in the Steam Engine Museum
Musician Ahti Lassila creates a unique soundscape in the Steam Engine Museum using his double bass. The instrument’s tonal palette, the steam engine, and the hall’s acoustics combine to create a truly unique atmosphere. Lassila develops musical sketches intended for the Steam Engine Museum, pausing to play at various locations throughout the space. Duration: 30 minutes.
