Confirmation Camp Songs Through the Years
"Ee-van-kelijumi!"
An emotional evening is guaranteed when the beloved confirmation camp songs are sung together at Aleksanteri Church. The setlist will be chosen by public vote, held in July on the Moro magazine’s website at www.aamulehti.fi/moro.
The sing-along will be led by young pop and jazz vocalists from the Pirkanmaa Music Institute, accompanied by the Suuri Iltanuotio Orchestra — a 30-piece ensemble combining the orchestras of the Tampere Tuomasmessu and the Tampere Salonkiorkesteri, under the baton of conductor Timo Saarinen.
The event will be hosted by Dean Olli-Pekka Silfverhuth and Pastor Minna Kyrkkö. A collection will be taken for Ruokapankki, the food aid center of the Evangelical Lutheran parishes of Tampere.
The event is organized in cooperation by the Tampere Cathedral Parish, the Evangelical Lutheran parishes of Tampere, the Pirkanmaa Music Institute, and Eventtec Oy.
Free admission – doors open at 6 p.m.
