The story of Wivi Lönn (1872–1966) - from the daughter of a master brewer to a respected architect and the first woman in Finland to establish her own architectural firm - is truly remarkable. Born in Tampere, Lönn undertook the first major projects of her extensive career in her hometown. This walking tour explores Lönn’s life story and the history behind the buildings she designed in Tampere.

The tour starts at the old School of Home Economics (Koulukatu 18) and concludes at the Central Fire Station (Satakunnankatu 16).
