I say 'I do' to myself

 

The project manager of SÄRÖ, Mari McAlester, bought several wedding dresses at an auction and wanted to use them in the photos. The idea behind the project was that through the powerful theme of "weddings and commitment", women could explore what it has meant to them to choose and commit to themselves.

 

The project used the empowering photography approach, where each participant defined how they wanted to be seen.The photos were turned into a calendar in autumn 2022 and are now also on display at Kaleva Hall.
