Opening of Marita Liulia’s Art Exhibition

Launch of the Book "Marita Liulia’s Guide for Artists and Producers"

Galleria Saskia will be exhibiting new paintings by Marita Liulia from August 7th to 26th, 2025. The works are abstract, but you can see dramatic phenomena of space and nature in them. Liulia's favorite material is gold. It’s known that gold comes from meteorites that hit the earth almost 4 billion years ago. Another favorite material of Liulia's, lava, also rises from the fiery core of the Earth. Liulia finishes her large paintings with her bare hands. Marita Liulia is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist whose art works have been exhibited in 50 countries. Her art works include paintings, photography, short films, stage performances, pioneering interactive media productions, games and books. Liulia has received several awards for her work, including Pro Finlandia 2018. At the exhibition opening on Thursday, August 7th from 5–9 pm, “Marita Liulia's Guide for Artists and Producers” will be released. “A colorful and sharp book about art, artists, and the art economy is like the works of its author, the award-winning and internationally successful artist-director
