IGGY MALMBORG

By and with Iggy Malmborg

A supposedly true story.

SATAN is a playfully autobiographical solo piece by Swedish actor-director Iggy Malmborg. The journey begins in the Swedish countryside in a devout Christian family, passes through friendships, sins and homelessness, and finally brings Malmborg to Tampere Theatre Festival.

Flirting with dark temptations and an artist’s coming-of-age story, this is a tale of a hero who tries to be a villain and fails.

SATAN injects you to the heart of theatre, between reality and illusion. As it examines manipulation and charisma, it prompts the question of who makes you think the way you do as an audience member.

”Malmborg’s performance is outstanding. Every hesitation, every gesture seems as if the memory spontaneously brings back feelings that are difficult to control.”
