Moomins on Stage -tours
Tove Jansson's beloved Moomin characters have had a presence on the stage as well as in the books from the start, both in Finland and abroad. The first stage adaptations, including the manuscript, staging, and costume designs, were made by Jansson herself for Svenska Teatern in 1949, just a few years after the first Moomin book had come out.
In the following decades, different kinds of variations of the Moomin stories have been adapted for the stage, including puppetry, opera, and lastly the ballet Moomin and the Comet by The Finnish National Opera and Ballet in 2017.
By taking part in the guided Moomins on the Stage tours, the audience gets to witness the world of Moomin and Tove's stories from a different point of view.
