Beginning Middle End
ARNI RAJAMÄKI & TEAM
A show for everyone who’s had enough of predictable, repetitious and stiff theatre!
An anarchic and self-deprecating contemporary piece that replaces the dull and redundant conventions of theatre with a new kind of Aristotelian drama, Beginning Middle End is a combination of a piano concerto, a monologue and improv acting.
Delivered as a cold reading by a different actor at each performance, Beginning Middle End is writer-director Arni Rajamäki’s thesis piece for the Theatre Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki. It makes an exhilarating, truthful and passionate point about the impossibility of living (and about the abysmal quality of art) in a norm-ridden world.
”Far too original and relevant to be forgotten.”
