All Inclusive
JULIAN HETZEL (NL) | CAMPO (BE)
Directed by Julian Hetzel
Reality strikes back!
The satirically introspective and smirking All Inclusive juxtaposes art with war, tourists with refugees, and reality with imagination. It’s an immersive performance about the art market’s aestheticization of violence and suffering.
A sensational contemporary art exhibition uses war debris from a conflict zone in Syria as its raw material. All Inclusive reveals the disturbing reality behind the display.
Born in Germany and currently residing in the Netherlands, Julian Hetzel is an internationally acclaimed performance artist, musician and visual artist. All Inclusive has been presented at numerous venues, such as the 2019 Venice Biennale.
”Simultaneously outstanding and outright painful, a direct hit on our morality.”
Moos van den Broek, theaterkrant.nl (text in Dutch)
