Museum Milavida's Nocturnal Happening

Museum Milavida and Café Milavida are open on the day of the Nocturnal Happening 11–22.

The museum’s two exhibitions, A Personal Collection of Vivienne Westwood Fashion and The Nottbecks – cosmopolitans of Tampere, are open from 11am. Milavida’s programme for the Nocturnal Happening is included in the price of the admission ticket, and there is free entry to the T-shirt makeover workshop. Changes may occur.

At 14.00 Special tour: Milavida’s architecture
On this theme tour you will get to know the architecture and style of the Milavida palace both inside and outside. You will hear stories of Milavida’s long and rich history from the construction of the palace all the way to this day. The tour begins in front of Näsilinna’s main entrance. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. It is recommended that you dress according to the weather.

At 16–19 Workshop: T-shirt makeover
Style your t-shirt in Westwood style and take a picture of your creation at the photo spot. In styling your t-shirt to suit your taste you will be guided by the instructors and youth of the Pajasto crafts workshop. Free entry.

At 17.00 Guided tour: Milavida’s artists feat. Westwood
On this theme tour you will hear about the lives and works of three artists that lived in Näsinkallio as well as about the art historical influences that impacted Vivienne Westwood’s fashion. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.

At 18.30 Special tour: Anarchy and Elitism – a guide to Vivienne Westwood’s isms
The loud rebel of the fashion world, Vivienne Westwood, provokes, questions, and breaks limits. Even her elegant fashion creations hide inside them a rebellious spirit. Come hear about the isms of the manifold punk rocker and dame! The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.
