Circus training, object theatre and word art

Programme:

At 16-18 Open circus training
Led by trained Sirkusjokeri peer instructors. Equipment can be found on-site. Suitable for beginners and for experienced hobbyists. Organised by the Katukilta project. Music by DJ DSM.



At 18.00 Playing house
Playing house is an object theatre performance that assembles the household’s spirit in 25 minutes. It is a story of various homes one experiences in life and of two women in their nineties, who look at the pictures of their children, on the shelf. Soon they will move there themselves, turning into outlines.

There is a voluntary programme fee at the event which includes the programme, a coffee/tea, and a salty pastry.

At 19.00 Open Stage Word Art Night
At Word Art Night everyone is free to recite, read out, and perform their own texts. There will be performances by word artist Piki Rantanen, musician Nana Janger, and artist Taneli Kemppi.

If you wish, you can bring (for yourself or to share) snacks/drinks that do not contain drugs, alcohol, or any other such substance.

On accessibility: all the events will be held on the first floor where there lead no stairs (there are low thresholds at a few places). There is a low-threshold bathroom on the same floor that is also accessible to disabled people. Our bathrooms are gender neutral.
