The second performance by the Brokentalkers, the intimate and frank Silver Stars is based on authentic, documented interviews. Men of older generations tell about their youth - the times when it was unimaginable to come out as a homosexual in Catholic Ireland.

The performers who interpret these documents by singing and talking are all amateurs, just regular Irish fellas. They tell us about loneliness, farewells, loss, fears and, finally, the courage to love. Three deeply resounding, dignified cellos and a lightly melodic guitar enhance the effortlessly fluid ambience with beautiful music. The audience is lead to tears and laughter by slight and simple means.
