Jyrki Karttunen and his working group have gazed deep in the mirror ball and seen a mirage of the past: the glittering 1970s of Disco.

Days of Disco entwines personal memories and collective history, John Travolta’s and Åke Blomqvist’s movement language, and Karttunen’s own choreography in a dexterous and titillating fashion.

Kimmo Karjunen’s gorgeous visualization reaches from a rain of stars and the Milky Way to intimate, tender moments of memories, which are beautifully complemented by the world of sounds designed by Tuomas Fränti.
